HELP extends financial support to children from weaker section of the society, who have passed out Xth or XIIth mainly from Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalayas with good academic record, desirous of pursuing higher education with an aim to be able to earn their livelihood and support their family.
Good academic record means that the student must have secured minimum 75% marks in Xth or XIIth, barring exceptions considered on case to case basis.
Yes, if the student has any sports qualification, HELP can consider relaxing the eligibility suitably.
No the student will have to fund for themselves so far as getting admission is concerned.
Choice of the course will essentially be determined by the student's own interest. However, HELP can provide a general guidance on various courses available.
Once the admission has been secured by the student and there is a demand letter from the college/institute, HELP shall step in and consider his/her application on merits.
Generally HELP will prefer students to seek admission in government run colleges/institutes on the basis of their academic scores, entrance examinations. However, a college/institute should be recognized and of good repute so that chances of employment are high after completion of the course.
HELP works on the principle of numbers. It would like to reach large number of deserving students with least outgo of funds to create employable manpower. Therefore, HELP does not prefer to sponsor courses where financial implication are large. ITI polytechnic course, B.Com, B.Tech, Tailoring, Pharmacy, BCA, Nursing and Other Vocational courses are courses that can help students to earn decent living.

In order to ensure participation/stake from the students parents/guardians, HELP provides only 50% of the annual/semester fee payable to the college/institute. Remaining 50% fee has to be managed by the student through his/her own resources. However, there could be exceptions where the parents are not able to contribute any financial help. HELP can consider on very special cases.
On the basis of applications received, the candidates will be shortlisted, interviewed and selected for financial help.
On the basis of the demand letter of the college/institute where the candidate has sought admission, the payment will be made by HELP to the college concerned directly against a receipt to be submitted by the candidate to HELP for record.
HELP also provides some financial help by way of boarding/lodging of students staying in the institute/college hostels. Payments will be made directly to the institute running the hostel. HELP can also gives some support for medical help to the students as and when need arises.
HELP will take a call on individual basis and shall decide on merit of each case.
Any individual, company, HUF or philanthropic institution can sponsor a child.
Any of the above mentioned entities can sponsor the higher education of a child selected by us by way of the process mentioned above. The sponsor shall take upon themselves entire financial obligation of the child till he/she completes the higher education.
Sponsors can approach HELP through the web site or directly get in touch with any of the governing body members over telephones/email and discuss the matter.
HELP will monitor the performance of the student from time to time. The student will submit a copy of his/her performance ranking from time to time to HELP for their further appraisal and help.
